Supported Employment

The supported employment program provides more intensive job development and on-the-job coaching for individuals with significant barriers to employment such as extended periods of homelessness and substance abuse. This program uses the evidence-based practice, Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model to successfully engage people in the workplace and build self-sufficient lives.

The goal of supported employment is to help customers attain and retain employment. Employment specialists are available to the customers and employers alike for a multi-year period.  Staff members assist customers with job retention and skill development and are also available to the employer to help resolve any concerns that may arise.

Admission to the supported employment program is by referral and is open to customers already enrolled in specific Central City Concern programs and/or housing buildings as well as to individuals engaged with other, qualifying organizations.  For referrals or inquiries about supported employment, call 503-226-7387 or email eac@ccconcern.org
